TEC® Pneumatic Air-Knife Coater

The TEC® AIR-KNIFE COATER is designed for water based paint applications involving wood building products, composites, or gypsum products. This coater has been designed with flexibility as a primary design element and can coat product at speeds up to 250 feet per minute. It is equipped with dual spray manifolds and can be used for top coating, bottom coating or both. Adjustable input pinch rollers permit a variety of either singular or multiple input sizes. Dual brushes provide for superior distribution of coating and permit cleaning of the brushes on the fly. Dual air knives, with individual pressure and flow control, provide flexibility and control of coating thickness.

The coater is fabricated of stainless steel with all wetted surfaces lined with polypropylene for ease of cleaning. The end housings and internal baffles are all of polypropylene and removable for maintenance. All drive rollers may be partially submerged in water to minimize coating adhesion.

The coater can be supplied with optional pumping, filtration, and mix tanks per the individual customer requirements.

TEC® Vertical Roll Coater

The TEC® vertical roll coater is designed to apply water-based paint to the edges of building products material. It can apply coatings up to speeds of 300 feet per minute. The coater will put side pressure on the substrate to force paint into its edges as it passes through its rolls. The roll durometer is designed for the individual product surface.

The TEC® FLAME TREATER is designed to oxidize plastics, composites, and other materials substrates. Flame Treating will allow water based paints, coatings and inks to be applied to their surfaces. The Flame Treat machine will include a specifically engineered conveyor to handle the product being treated. The machine will also include an oxygen analyzer to insure that the correct air to fuel ratio is maintained. The analyzer monitors continuously and alarms if the proper ratio is no longer obtained. The TEC® FLAME TREATER can successfully run at speeds above 250 feet per minute.

TEC® has the ability to design, fabricate and install specialty equipment primarily used to heat various materials in their manufacturing stages. These materials could be rubber used for tires, plastics heated for forming, wood building components humidified to reduce distortion, wood window components soaked with chemicals and dried to prevent rot, and many other items that we use in our everyday life.
